No frog no deal
Our leak frog just alerted us the other day when I replaced the filter in the new fridge and the pressure left enough gap for a slow leak. I’m not looking forward to pulling the fridge out every time we need to replace the filter, but the frog did its job after 10+ years.
I think I have a new one, still in the box, somewhere.
Just came to say “back in my day we had leakfrogs and we liked em that way!”
Sadly this exact picture happened to me this week. Luckily my little Leakfrog, which has been in service for almost 10 years, worked like a champ and alerted me.
You’d think Nursing Homes would buy a ton of em’! They could hang em’ from Grams’ & Gramps’ belt buckles!
Could someone tell me how the image below works any differently than the leak frog type products?
only HALF joking.
Wet fake fur = gross.
That’s all I got.
I think because the chicken is an image… the frog detects water.
As long as it completes the circuit, but I’m not sure if the water would immediately short it out. I’m not allowed to play with the electrics anymore.
I don’t think the image will detect water very well.
It will if it’s still on your cell phone.
I think I just got lost in my own thoughts. Pain meds and woot are interesting.
Ooh I did that with cold meds. It’s a trip.
I hope you feel better soon.
I need a product like this, but went to the mothership and found the Govee WiFi Water Sensor.
Seems like a better value, IMO. Guess it depends on your needs…
Not as cool as my frog that saved me when I got a new washer a couple of weeks ago that leaked after installation. Thank you Woot for the frog so many years ago that still works!
Leak frog has saved our basement (water heater), and our kitchen (dish washer).
So, whats the REAL battery life of a device like this. One would think up front if it’s phoning phone to keep the wifi alive, it’s gotta be short.
Some good compare info:
WAAAA? How did the leak frog not make this list!?
