I remember the school bus drivers all had these, but has anyone ever used them in car? Is it a geriatric tool or for regular people?
I used to have one when I was in my mid 30’s thru 50ish when I lived in the Rockies and dealt with the glare of snow for 7-9 months of the year. I had to use one of the green “shade” ones to get home almost all year. We lived west of town, so I was driving into the sun every evening. As to the yellow - I guess it would be like my yellow driving glasses - which are awesome - especially at night if you have a lot of oncoming headlights.
So a handy gadget to have with both.
My mom has an old one of these , similar. It really helps her at night when headlights shine at her. I think it’s good for bright sun too. Me, I find it one more thing in the way and keep batting at it like a cat . YMMV
I can see them working well with halogen lights, but do they work with the LED abominations of today?
I bought this deal… I’m sorry i did. Honest opinion, night visor not bad, but cheap nighy sunglasses work way better. Day visor is absolute trash, think kid sunglasses or worse. Worst part is, i cant use my visor and this at the same time. I took it off today, lesson learned. I’ll just buy another set of those antiglare sunglasses from Amazon, think i paid $10 or something for them. I may or may not add an additional layer of tint to the day visor to see if it works better - also think its cool no one can see my face and technically its not window tint. Then again, its not like people are hunting for me and the fact i cant use the visor to block the sun really makes this tool junk to me.
