Sounds like a small uninterruptible power supply is prudent, almost essential then?
The SD card is viewable from a computer and you donāt need internet for that
Camera size and power cable makes it difficult to clean the toilet bowl.
Have you tried?
Theyāre releasing so many cameras that Iām confused and Iām a backer early on with V1 and every iteration of their cameras. I just bought the 3rd edition of the Pan Camera and love itās fold up privacy feature.
I havenāt jumped on the Pro or the new OG for $19. For those saying these arenāt security cameras, the new OG says response times are cut in half. Same starlight sensor, better mechanics. A 50% increase in alert time and connection to view the event would make it a decent security camera, would it not?
Iām hesitant to buy anymore V3s with the OG offering faster alerts, even though I need them. The V3 may claim to be waterproof, but mine get foggy after a year or so in my humid climate.
I bought the Wyze Cam Plus Unlimited plan for $89 because I own so many Wyze cams. Iāll never need 99 cameras on Cam Plus, but Iāve had 20 and thatās only $4.50 a year for the peace of mind a cloud plan offers, in case anyone else has a bunch of these too and was also late learning about Unlimited. Wyze refunded the remainder of my scattered plans so theyāre now all together.
If you have the Cam Plus subscription, then the OG might be close to equivalent to the V3. But for people like me who prefer not to have the subscription, my understanding from some OG reviews Iāve read is that the OG will only record still image to the cloud instead of 12 second video clips.
I am also using local SD recording, but the 12 second motion detection videos are still sometimes helpful. Iām not sure the still images would be as helpful.
That explains the OG release with half the response times. Theyāve trying to sell Cam Plus subscriptions.
Thank you for helping me understand not to buy anymore V3s that will probably continue to get cheaper. Since Iām locked into Cam Plus Unlimited for 11 months, Iāll risk $19 plus shipping to try out the OG. Iāll wait on reviews to try stacking it.
ordered a three pack they are good quality except for one thats stuck on black and white and will not show color oh well guess ill return one and keep the others
Iāve never had any problems with my woot purchases till now. I bought the 3-pack. When they arrived one of the cameras had a nick in the cord that exposed bare wire (Woot kindly refunded me for it). The second camera did some strange things when installing but seemed fine till I noticed it wasnāt reading my SD card. I finally decided to uninstall/ reinstall the camera but now itās completely dead. I even tried it on another cameraās cord with no luck. Not sure who Woot got the cameras from but wow!
Oooof. Make sure you reach back out to customer service so they can help you.
I already have several WYZE cameras. My son bought a house and I bought the four pack for him. I have unboxed and tested all four. All were reasonably packed and clean. All had what looked like new chargers and cables except for one, which had a recycled cable. All worked fine. I didnāt have enough SD cards on hand for all four. The two that I installed SD cards in worked fine. I have two more cards coming in.
