Cash back only applies to purchases on Amazon.com and I believe wholefoods.

Yup.
The Chase Ultimate Rewards that changes categories every few months was only Amazon.com.
The Amazon Rewards Chase card does include Whole Foods per the website.
Mom likes Whole Foods best.
