We have slankets and we love them. Received them as gifts a few years ago and they are nice because they’re much bigger than the tv version.
I swear I’m not joking when I say this: slankets are FAR superior to snuggies.
My high school gave away school snuggies- they are thin, not terribly warm and not terribly soft. a slanket, on the other hand, is gloriously thick, warm, and cozy. I bought the binary one for the husband-then boyfriend-as a gag, and it’s now our go to blanket for when either of us isn’t feeling too great and needs some couch comfort. It needs frequent washing because if we’re not using it, there’s an excellent chance there’s a dog sleeping on it instead. I think I’ve only used the sleeves when xboxing, but otherwise it’s just a comfy cozy well made blanket.
I do not know about the koala throws but I have a similar item, a “planket” that is a throw that folds into a pocket to make a pillow and it is my favorite throw. So convenient (especially if each family member has a favorite blanket or throw)to de-clutter the couch by returning it to it’s pillow state. Plus, I stick my feet into the pocket to ensure they stay covered. Good price, I paid maybe twice as much for mine.
How is a slanket different than a snuggie?
The indulgent Slanket is far superior to a Snuggie in every way. I own one of each already. The Slanket is thicker, with plush-er fabric and much larger than the Snuggie. It’s the difference between a fast food drive thru burger eaten while driving and one fresh off the grill while lounging by the pool on the 4th of July. Sure, both of them take care of your hunger but only one of them is actually pleasurable while the other is merely perfunctory.
