Hi folks, I’m new. My gamebridge software worked without a hitch. Only problem is that while the video and sound does not lag, I’m getting sound distortion every 30-60 seconds and the video gets choppy at the same rate. The same applies to games. Recording them got a bit worse. But after you record the video, it has no problems with sound or video.
Here’s my computer stats:
HP Pavilion dv2025nr Entertainment Notebook PC
Windows XP Service Pack2
AMD Turion 64 x2 1.61 GHz
1024 MB Ram
Hard Drive 100 GB
I have enough Ram and meet the minimum standards for the processor. I don’t know what else to do. Is it because of programs running in the background, because if that isn’t, I don’t know what to do.
sorry for the blank post…i was looking for a copy of the cd, then i read through the entire forum and found a link…thanks guys you’re my saviors. (I was retarded and accidentally threw away mine!)
Did anyone ever figure out why the home theatre software will not work on some computers?
SageTV is working for me, but I was just wondering.
Also is it possible to find third party drivers for this thing to get it to work with Windows MCE?
I bought this thing a few months ago, and just now installed it. It worked great for about 20 minutes, then I got a blue screen error, and have come to find out there’s no support for it from Adaptec. For the 20 minutes I had it working, it was great, however, there’s not much else I can do with it at this point.
Anybody got any ideas about what I can do to get these BSODs to stop? Because I’ve installed both hardware and software with this device it’s difficult for me to determine which one is causing the problem (especially since the blue screen error doesn’t specify the culprit).
If someone else purchased one of these, and has had similar problems that were fixed, I sure would appreciate it if you dropped me a line.
I’ve got a Toshiba Satelitte Pentium 4 3.2GHz, 512 RAM, and Whenever I try to record video or even when I’m playing a game after about 30 seconds my Gamebridge light turns Red and I lose all audio and video from the Gamebridge. Anyone know how I can fix this problem?
w00t! (I know a guy who used to say this at every other word. that’s another story though) I first time poster here, so here goes
Got this thing (Adaptec yada yada yada) a couple days ago and installed today and hooked my ps2 up to my PC and when I tried to play or record anything all I got is sound and no video. and I know im not alone on this. So has anyone got any bright ideas how to solve this problem
I got the gamebridge a while ago on woot. I took it out of the packaging but never installed it. I finally got around to really needing it and realized I misplaced all the software and all I’m left with is the hardware. Adaptec doesn’t have a single piece of software to download from their site, and I’ve scoured the net and still come up with nothing. Does anyone know of any drivers/software on the net that will work for this thing (I’m on xp, sp2)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I got it to install and work flawlessly on Windows Vista (am currently in the process of reinstalling it on Vista because of other problems), so the Vista support is confirmed.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the CD to the gamebridge tv… just kidding.
I actually was wondering if anyone else was having trouble getting this thing to properly show video. It doesn’t matter whether I’m playing video games on composite or s-video or whether I’m watching tv, the display is very choppy and i get greenish lines that run across the screen all the time. most of the time the video isn’t lagging, but every once in a while that lags as well. I directed my video game audio to my speakers, so I’m not sure about that, but the audio is fragmented and lagging at best during tv watching.
These are my computer specs: hp pavilion zv5240 laptop, P4 3.06Ghz w/ HT, 1.25G Ram, Mobility Radeon 9000 (running Omega display drivers), running windows XP.
I’ve tried multiple things to fix this, including reinstalling my video drivers (omega and the originals that came with my computer), installing CCCP and uninstalling the other codecs, I’ve even hooked up the gamebridge to an externally powered hub to see if it was my usb port that was messed up; nothing I do works. I’ve read through the forum and I’ve seen people with half as good specs use their gamebridge without problems.
If anyone could help that would be great. If I can’t figure out I may try to send it back claiming it’s broken.

It’s the video that’s the problem. The Mobility Radeon is not a very fast card and it is using system memory. Try stopping all non-essential processes on the laptop and see if that makes any difference.
hello, first time poster here.
i figured out how to get the gamebridge driver to install without having to install the intervideo crap.
copy all the driver files from the drivers folder to some folder on your hard drive
rename the in_ files to inf
copy all the .sys files to \windows\system32\drivers
install the driver via windows device manager, ie. don’t search, have disk, browse to folder, etc.
install some other DVR software. i’ve found that snapstream’s Beyond TV works without any problems, no lag or audio problems like i was having with the intervideo
