You mentioned that you made your own fertilizer, what is your recipe?
Depends on the plants but I just mix NPK masterblend, calcium nitrate and sodium. I mixed it into a giant container under a high concentrate amount and I just mix it into the water until the electric connectivity of the water matches what I expect it to be based on what the plant needs.
You can also look on amazon for their plant food portions and just mix it yourself with the raw ingredients.

If you plan to mix your own I would suggest making sure you keep it moving as if it settles for too long it will start to form deposits. It’s best to not try to store it long term in high concentrates mixed.

a larger hydo system seems the way to go.
Or move to a state where it’s legal to grow outside.
