Wow. That’s a bit steep for a single 4 cup container of tempered glass. Not the same as PYREX type borosilicate glass. You know , the old/fashioned PYREX that’s less prone to breakage, that’s now sold mostly in Europe. Before the name was sold as pyrex, lowercase, made from soda ash glass for us peons in the US. That’s why I am supere careful these days. Anchor Hocking does make a similar glass, but tempered soda ash is not it. I hope this is just a mistake in the description.
I miss the days when the good food safe glass was made in the USA!
