I would rather pay a little more for a brand new item than skimp to get a refurbished one. Maybe if the price difference was larger.

Apple’s refurbs are quality items. That’s one brand I have no qualms about buying less-than-new. It’s the 8 gig that kills it for me. The reason I still have a Classic is its 120 gig capacity.
