Bad Woot! The MSRP straight from Apple for this model was $499, not $544.
Also, the current generation iPad Mini with 128GB storage, twice the RAM, a newer processor, support for Apple Intelligence (lol), and with the jelly screen fixed can often be found for $399 on sale.

I’m not sure they “fixed” the jelly scrolling screen issue … but I’ve never noticed and I read plenty on my Ipad Mini.
Also FWIW … check which version of Apple Pencil the latest uses. Mine supports the Pencil 2, I think the newer ones only support the Pencil USB-C and the Pencil Pro.
