Apple iPhone 13 Pro (Fully Unlocked) (Apple Black Box Refurbished)

Yep, I bought the exact same phone and had the exact same experience. It looks beautiful and I’m also very happy with the purchase (my second great Apple/Woot! purchase within the last month or so). Mine also had a screen protector in place, but I immediately peeled it off. Luckily, the screen underneath was pristine. I also have a battery rated at 100%.

I wouldn’t have known it was refurbished except for the repair history and the odd evidence of a previously installed eSIM. I guess we just have to keep our fingers crossed that whoever did the work knew what they were doing. So far, so good.

I’m coming from an iPhone X so this is quite the technological leap for me. It’s great to finally have a phone that can take advantage of the bandwidth that T-Mobile has added to their network since I bought the X. Thanks, Woot.:+1:

For those curious, this is the parts replacement information we see in the About area:

So, is it true that these phones were not, in fact, Apple refurbished??!

There is a new “black box refurbished” iphone 13 Pro listing that looks to be for the exact same thing (here) except the yellow box description has changed from “refurbished by Apple” to “expertly refurbished”.

Interesting also that this forum thread is now disassociated from the original product listing (here). Wonder why that is?

Bottom line, “refurbished by Apple” and “expertly refurbished by a third party” are nowhere near the same thing. @ThunderThighs Woot! should give everyone who bought these a 1 year warranty!
