Less well known fact: the regular iPhone XR/11/12 (non-mini) screen size is larger (6.1” vs 5.5”) in a case that is about half inch shorter and quarter inch narrower than the iPhone 7/8 Plus.
(No home button + narrower bezel on the newer models.)
