Love both my Apple TV’s! Wish this was the new 2nd gen remote.
Based on the image, this is a 2nd Gen remote with the white circle.
The Siri touchpad remote with and without white circle are both considered “1st Generation”. The only difference is the white circle was thought to make the Menu button easier to see and feel. They are otherwise identical.
The white circle remote was introduced with the Apple TV 4K (1st Generation). The Apple TV HD (formerly called “4th Generation”) has been sold with both remotes.
The Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) uses the non-touchpad remote and is considered the “2nd Generation” remote.

Edit - For what it’s worth, I have an original Apple TV remote (bottom of first link) and it still works with my current Apple TV 4th Gen (aka Apple TV HD).
This remote is a crime against humanity.
