Are the bonus bands first party Apple bands or third party ones?
I’m sure they’re 3rd party. I’ve used “cheap” Amazon Ultra watch bands and the fabric seems to be the same but the metal hardware is obviously cheaper.
This seems like a great deal assuming it’s not just all borked from the get go. I see myself keeping my Ultra 1 for a long time.
How scratched and dented to these tend to be?
Hi there, the below is a link to the Woot item condition glossary.
(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)
Hello. Apple bands run about $100 each so these are definitely 3rd party.
These are 100% Amazon bands and not authentic Apple bands which run $99 each.
They will also provide a slow USB A charger instead of the proper USB C fast charger.
Source I got one of these the last time they had it.
Does this model have the Blood Oxygen monitor? The 2nd Gen model doesn’t due to a lawsuit.
Some of the early GEN 2’s do have the O2 monitor, the latter ones don’t. I’ve read if the model numbers end in LLA it has the O2 sensor, LWA does not. I don’t own one so I cannot confirm.
Hello. Vendor confirmed this model doesn’t include the blood oxygen monitor.
PRICE DROP!
Small Print: If you already purchased, that money will hop back into your pockets soonish.
Good thing I got one at an earlier Aug 13th, sale (Apple Watch Ultra (Grade A Refurbished)).
MQEU3LL/A. it has a working oxygen app/sensor and it automatically updated its firmware the day after I received it, so Apple must not be retro-disabling – so if the Ultra 2 came out in Sep 2023, how is it Apple was still selling Ultra 1’s in 2024 and had to disable that feature?
I suppose if the vendors says it’s sans SPO2, it probably doesn’t work or doesn’t work correctly. Fair enough.
From Apple – but I can’t say losing a feature is a win-win-win…
