Disappointing. Cord broke on second time opening. Felt some resistance but not sure if it was different or usual since the first time I opened it there was on and off resistance. This time the cord broke, will have to replace.
That’s not good. Remember that you have a 90-day woot warranty. Reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).

Ours just broke as well but lasted quite a while (till mid-August). I’ve taken it apart but there are many cheap plastic pieces as well as the broken rope that have disintegrated and doesn’t appear to be repairable.
Sad because it was a good value for the lightweight shade it provided.
You said it! I used mine for maybe a week and was just not happy with how thin the fabric is! 
I prefer to not be in the sun at all, but the protection from this was so negligible. Stuffed it in one of the garages in the hope that it may come in handy for something someday 
Luckily I had purchased a few other ones as well.
EDIT to say: And that pole! SOOOO tall that any bit of shade possible made a shadow like a postage stamp haha.
