Four or five minutes of “no response”, about an hour and a half of VoP (finally reduced to re-reading “Assassin’s Price” (L. E. Modesitt, Jr) while watching over the top edge of the phone, pulling down the phone screen to refresh and keep the screen on - a couple of times got the Amazon login screen, logged in, went directly back to the VoP. One hour and approx thirty minutes. Don’t do this again unless you get it working right (maybe a selection of music on hold, with intermittent status update comments). SOMEBODY tell me whether going “back” to the screen with the (supposedly) clickable “Buy Me” button -RESETS- my place “in-queue”…

I’m Toast. Speaking of toast, I blame you for driving me to get up and EAT to survive these 90 minutes of depraved torture.

Did you at least get the 308 plastic bags which were temporarily put at $1?

Where? What? How, when??
Pull the other one, that foot hurts.

Looks like I must have been close to the last to get in…

@davejlives did it as a thank you.

Combo of repeatedly refreshing AND stepping out every five or six minutes to make sure it wasn’t sold out yet (I STILL don’t know if that resets my position in the queue).

For anyone who didn’t make it through Cake-Pop War 2021…

My “old-school” recipe for making Starbucks-style cake pops:

  • Make a box mix cake according to the directions (“pudding in the mix” cakes work especially well).
  • Bake according to directions, and allow to fully cool when done.
  • Completely SQUASH the cooled cake with a fork or your hands. Add a couple tablespoons of tub icing (more or less, depending on how sweet you want it), and combine well.
  • Scoop out and roll into balls.
  • Melt some chocolate candy wafers.
  • Dip 1/2" of the pop sticks into the melted chocolate, and insert into the cake balls.
  • Then dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate to coat. Straight In & Out - do not wiggle until it is out, or it will fall off the stick.
  • Add sprinkles or decorations while chocolate is still soft, if desired.
  • Insert the pop sticks into styrofoam to cool, or allow to cool on their heads, if you don’t mind them not being perfectly round.

Glad I still have something similar but for making brownies. I bought it 10 years ago and used it maybe twice
