This thing has made 12 great smoothies the last 12 times I’ve used it in the last 2 years, so that’s $25/per, plus ingredients.
Turning an entire bag of rough greens into a liquid is pretty darn impressive.
If you’re already into blending, (soups, nut butters, etc) this thing is undoubtedly a dream machine.
A howling, loud, better keep a hand on the lid or you’ll make a serious mess (I sure did) dream machine.
If you just like the occasional non-bag of kale smoothie, that $12 blender-is-the-cup deal at Walmart is likely the better deal, I use mine 4x a week.
I do agree paying $200+ for blender when a Walmart blender at a fraction of the price makes more sense. If you want to fork out the money that’s your prerogative, just make sure to let everyone know it’s a “BlendTec from the YouTube videos”
We got a refurb from the mothership four years ago and absolutely love it. Daily use, pulverizes everything into cloudlike smoothness.
Blendtec is, from what I read, not its old self anymore and apparently has been surpassed by Vitamix. Anyone have experience with both?
