That was my take. Just because it’s “memed” with that text treatment, doesn’t make it a meme. Think about the proliferation of Grumpy Cat or even the Bernie thing right now. That’s the meme-ness we’re talking about here.

@randalma, I just thought a meme was a clever (or popular) joke on the internet, or a picture with a funny caption. I didn’t realize there was a “this is a meme but this isn’t” thing going on. I personally don’t get the difference, but I’ve made my argument and I will take your judgment.
