@Chinellatto can you explain this to me? Is it because Luke has 3 letters in the word “luck”? I’m struggling to see the connection of Star Wars to Irish/St. Patrick’s day things. :frowning:

Thank you for asking =). The joke is also about the similarity in spelling between ‘Luck’ and ‘Luke,’ but the main point of the joke is the unexpected twist on one of the most clichĂ© phrases about luck and T-shirts, ‘this is my lucky shirt.’ But it could be worse, at least I didn’t use Snoopy on the T-shirt hahahaha

I was also struggling with this because the words do not rhyme at all which is the usual way these word-play things work. This has a ton of votes right away though, so it clearly makes sense to a lot of people. Could be the unexpected twist that is grabbing them. Not sure why Snoopy was thrown under the bus though.

These are things that can happen precisely because I’m not a native English speaker, after all, my name doesn’t fool anyone, right? I believe the joke makes sense in my mind because I can abstract much more between English writing and pronunciation than a native speaker. So, it’s just that, it was a joke that simply didn’t work for you guys, and that’s okay, it’s just another joke that won’t be appreciated because it doesn’t make sense. As for the many votes, are you serious that you think 28 votes is a high number of votes? My friends and relatives would easily surpass this number of votes, and from what I understand from Facebook group posts, that wouldn’t be illegal.

As for Snoopy, it was a joke to see how many times the character is used around here.

If you are getting 28 votes in 12 hours without posting for friends and family, then clearly the joke works.

Actually, it’s quite the opposite; my votes are probably just from friends and family. The design probably won’t survive

Surely you’re right, I’m in no position to disagree with a native speaker, it would be foolish of me. Like I said, it was a poorly executed joke on my part =(. And thank you for finding the design at least pleasant. Surely it won’t be printed, but it’s a good opportunity for people to get to know the work of a newcomer. And congratulations on your work and countless prints within Woot, it’s truly amazing
