Bone Conduction Wireless Sport Headset

These “Bone Conduction Wireless Sport Headset Bluetooth 5.2” are not bone conductive. Upon receiving them they are called “Sound conduction Earphone”. They have tiny slits on the rounded part that is an outside headphone.

I bought mine in March. I wonder what the warehouse cost will be. Like at what point is it no longer worth trying to sell these?

As previously stated, these are not bone conduction and have very poor sound quality…these aren’t worth any price.

As for Woot/Amazon continuing to list these for sale after so many months and being called out on the false advertising as “bone conduction”…it is very disappointing

It would be better if you contact the manufacturer with your comments.

that link brings up an antivirus alert on my machine. DK, DC.

I like to know when woot is selling something that claims it’s something when it’s not. Whether woot takes accountability or not.

If we all just complain to manufacturers, we would still be naively purchasing junk while woot has no repercussions for reselling it. Knowing it’s junk, through comments, allows us to avoid it and woot to keep ahold of it until it’s no longer worth selling.

After enough losses, woot will hopefully use a rating system to filter out junk. Flash Deals used had a minimum bar. Clearance appears to have replaced flash deals. You can browse through a hundred items there pretty quickly and see nearly all items have about 4 stars or 5. But occasionally some stuff gets through, like this junk.

So if some stuff is somehow skipping a minimum bar requirement, I’d analyze if you’re getting a net positive user experience, or a negative- and compare to profits. You could get real fancy and see if spending habits change after buying poorly rated and unrated products.

Woot offers you a 30-day return policy if you’re unsatisfied with your purchase.

Woot is a retailer. They offer items up for people to buy. That’s what they do. It’s always been up to a consumer to do their due diligence when making a purchase from any retailer.

Woot hosts, at their expense, these forums to encourage product discussions.

You may not like the item. That’s fine. But that’s your personal opinion. The next person may love it.

If you have a problem with the way a manufacturer markets their product, you should contact the manufacturer.

I don’t think I mentioned that at all. What I covered was a minimum bar requirement for selling. An attitude of caveat emptor and take or leave it just makes the optics worse.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I prefer to make decisions for myself and not be limited by what someone else thinks is good or bad.

I’m done here. Keep going if it makes you happy.

Way to go guys … A customer brings up a legitimate issue/error and your not only refuse to correct the error on your site, but you tell him to contact the manufacturer. You (yes I know your volunteers) sell a product based on accurate facts being listed on the listing… The wrong response is to tell a customer your done taking to them.

I love woot for deals, you guys do a poor job of listening to your customers and overall caring for after sale feedback.

Spud77, No matter what these two say, you’re not wrong.

Pepper doesn’t speak for Woot.

Pepper114, Nice job providing a link to a completely different set of headphones btw… No where on their site does it say this model is bone conducting.

Please remember to be kind on the forums per the forum guidelines. I ask that you read up on the guidelines to better inform your future posting decisions.

As for Pepper, she is here on her own time without any sort of pay to try to help people. If you have a better link then please provide it. It’s better to try to help than to tear others down. Kindly remember that in the future.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

Pick a retailer, go to their forums and be hateful.

The link I posted was for the sale linked in TT’s post. It’s an example of why a retailer doesn’t change what the manufacturer said about their product. Not the link to these generic headphones.

Repeating incorrect information knowing that it’s incorrect while trying to sell something is wrong, even if others are doing it. Forums are great, and volunteer moderators are appreciated, but we need to inform the actual company by emailing directly.

Retailers don’t know it’s incorrect if people don’t leave honest reviews about a product. Yelling about how a manufacturing company markets their product, without trying it for yourself, seems pretty pointless.

That’s not directed at you personally or anything.

Please be civil and leave the volunteer moderators alone. They help in the community and do their best. If you have an issue, take it up with staff or customer service.

We can’t willy-nilly change the name of a product. We use the title from the manufacturer, Amazon, or our vendor. There are a lot of manufacturers that call these (and similar) bone conducting. We know that Wooters are smart and will have a healthy discussion about it. That should including attacking others though.

I contacted support and they said:
“Please be assured that these headphones are Bone Conduction as mentioned.”

So @burninator50 , if you have evidence that it’s not true, let support know so that they can look into it. Let us know what you hear back.
