Hey, don’t knock it. I have never been able to make it edible at home, but my local coop sells it soaked in buffalo sauce and it’s really good. I wanted a spicy snack one day and it was $2 so I took a chance.
I kinda want to try them!
Bought them for a Covid pantry item about a year ago and yup, they’re out of date.
Any votes I try them again?

Soy, in any form other than fermented (soy sauce), is not suitable for human consumption.
I’ll let you know after I cook my first batch.
There are a lot of recipes for these - generally used as a meat sub. The texture is pretty good and they absorb flavor of spices well.
First time I made BBQ with these I was worried I’d have a crockpot full of BBQ grits, but turned out FANTASTIC! Soy Curls rock!

It really ticks me off when food is sold past its best buy date without that being disclosed first. At nearly two years past, the price should have been lower.

I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think it’s healthy to store Soy Curls in your panty 
BEST BUY dates and EXPIRATION dates are completely different most food last well beyond their best buy date it is a best buy date is for wholesalers to use to turn over inventory shelf stable food does not need to be discarded when this date rolls around it just means it needs to be moved to the front of the line if a can of food is in good condition and has been stored in a cool place without direct sunlight it is fine to eat years after this date. Dry goods need to be checked for bugs a stale or pungent order and it is still good.
This is not just my opinion go to your local extension office or state college food preservation department and all this can be confirmed.
