FYI these things are very picky about what they work with. I bought one of these from another vendor several months ago and it did not work with my car.
2001 Lincoln LS, has OBDII and I have used other OBDII devices before without a problem (I use torque on my android to diagnose and clear trouble codes etc). This device powers on and shows some basic static info but nothing useful such as mph, rpm, etc.
There are different versions of OBDII. Newer cars are probably fine but if you have an older car you might have problems with these cheap chinese controllers.
I purchased this for my 2006 Toyota Tundra. I works well BUT it’s VERY bright and you’ll find most dashboards are rounded whereas this unit is completely flat so mounting so it’ll actually stay is difficult!
Lastly, by connecting this to the OBD slot, it disables the car remote so one has to manually unlock your car with a key! Quite annoying, I must say!
Mine didn’t work. Woot said “Too bad so sad and wouldn’t take it back!” so I am stuck with it. After 10 years a loyal member to get burned over 1 item is pretty sad and cruel. However, such is life.
WORST PRODUCT EVER, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING IT. To the previous comment of it being very bright, what are you smoking? even with the tint it comes with that’s supposed to be installed on your windshield glass, it was still hard to read and the functionality is mediocre. I didn’t even bother trying to return it because last time I tried to return to woot, it was a hassle and since they have no real customer service, it can take days to process with these guys. I do not recommend this product.
I have 3 of these and wish I never bought them. I was “Wootified” and had to have them for my vehicles. They are a pain in the rear to attempt to work and they are impossible unless you’re the knuckle head that built it and my guess is he or she can’t figure it out.
It doesn’t work with my 2005 Nissan Titan. After plugging it in, the vehicle won’t start and the numbers are displayed upside down or backwards depending on how you position the display unit.
