Centon Memory Cards

Do not buy these Centon Memory Cards. Check out the rating and comments on Amazon. These cards are dogs. They will not stand up to even light use. Woot has been advertising a lot of reject products lately. They recently advertised the Yakima Doubledown Ace bike hitch, and then sent me a cheaper model after weeks of customers complaining of this practice. So buyer beware.

errrrrrmmmm…I found about as many 5-star reviews as there are 2-star reviews on Amazon for the Centon family of cards.

Which is to say, there are two. Not sure where you’re finding them, but you’re obviously more adept at it than I am.

Here is one such reviews. 32 GB Centon
Over 70% of the reviews are below 5 stars, and over 50% of them are 1 star.

Searching Amazon for just Centon SD gives the rest of the one star, no reviews, and singular review 5 star products.

Difficult to find reviews, plus plenty of bad ones is more than enough for me to dismiss all Centon SD products. The reviews on USB drives are dodgy at best, too.

As far as basing your decision on Amazon reviews, I think I would look at other online retailer reviews as well. Amazon is horrible for lumping all reviews together regardless of seller and, quite often, item specifics.

I was looking at the 64gb one specifically, but a few for the 32 popped up and that’s all I could find, other retailers included.

But I’m behind you on the lack-of-reviews bit…i’d all but written them off already, I just wanted to give 'em a fair chance, especially at the price.

Oh well.

Yes I am.

I had 2 of these cards. They worked fine for awhile now they have both failed. 1 the protections tab broke off. The other one still has the protection tab in place but I can not pull off any files that I have on there because it can not be read by my computer anymore. Do not buy these.
