Coach Brooklyn Shoulder Bag 39 Black

Sure looks like NOS, or new old stock. And kind of worn out … like your yelling and drama queen hyperbole. Give it a rest.

I have reached out. They keep saying the systems for returns is down.

Why are you here.

how about we all calm down and talk this through. seems as though you’re uncertain about the authenticity of your Coach bag, which you’re well within your rights to be suspicious about, and if you’re unsatisfied you can return it. it’s unfortunate that the returns system is down momentarily but it’ll be back up soon enough so no need to make a huge fuss. about your comparison to the in-store bag, are you sure that it was the same model and production batch? often different models have different designs and there can be some differences between batches of same models depending on the availability of materials and other factors. screaming that the bag is inauthentic on a forum isn’t going to help anyone and neither is harassing people who are trying to help you. i realize that having this amount of money in limbo can be frustrating but i don’t think it’s fair to take out the frustration on support staff and other kind people who are trying to help you with your concerns.
just a thought.
i hope everything works out for you in the end, though.

Not to add fuel…but all kinds of stuff happens with designer merchandise. Years ago I bought a Coach Slim duffle bag from Macy’s and went to the very same store two weeks later for some leather conditioner. The clerk that worked in there commented that I was wasting money conditioning a fake bag. I called her out and asked for the department manager. When the manager came, the clerk that sold me the bag was not present. I actually had the receipt and tags in my wallet. Long story short, they later called and refunded my money because apparently people buy real bags and return fake ones.
Nothing is impossible when dealing with “designer” products.

It’s authentic. That’s the original lining that the first run of these bags were made with. People were unsatisfied with the cracking lining, so it appears changes were made at some point. Some YT’ers back in 2024 were talking about this cracking lining on bags in store at the boutiques when the Brooklyn was first released. See Caleb Snell’s video, “My Honest Opinion New Fall 2024 Coach Bags”. He discusses the original lining here.
*also wanted to note - most SA’s are not authentication experts. Find yourself a reputable forum of long-time collectors who live/breath all things Coach. They will steer you in the right direction if there are authentication doubts.

Yep, as I suspected. Guessed that these are closeout stocks (I waver on calling them NOS based on some buyers’ pics), may’ve been display models, from a prior season.

This is Woot! King of the closeouts, the Island of Unwanted Toys, the Home of the Wootoff. Was so much fun in the old days. Since purchase by Amazon, also offering “deals” from Amazon, but much of Woot is same as in the olden timez. You can never be quite sure what you’ll get, but customer service is there for us when something’s not right. Screaming “j‘accuse!” helps no one.

Did you try again?

I don’t even know that they are closeout stocks. On the Coach website, the Brooklyn 39 is still currently listed with materials being only natural grain leather for all colorways (including Black and Dark Stone) except for the Cedar and Sand colorways (those two are listed as “suede and grain leather” with “fabric lining”). You can also find videos uploaded to Youtube a month ago with people doing unboxings, and they seem to have the same linings as these bags.

The lining on the Brooklyn 39 isn’t supposed to be suede. On the Coach website, even the suede versions (which are currently the Cedar and Sand colorways) say that they have a fabric lining (which, based on most of the other current Coach bags with fabric linings is likely microfiber that’s made to mimic suede). The Black and Dark Stone colorways both only say “natural grain leather” on Coach’s website. From the review videos I’ve seen, this makes sense because the Black and Dark Stone colorways are unlined.
Are you sure you looked at the correct bags in store?
