We own the 8-person version of this tent. We would not buy it again. We do not expect this model to be particularly durable. FYI the 8-person version is currently $88 at mother Amazon. We’ve owned many tents, including Coleman tents over several decades.
-
‘+ It has the very handy Coleman patented “hinged” door. No floppy door.
 -
‘+ The vestibule is helpful, but not real large.
 -
‘- It is not particularly easy to set up. Doable, but tricky for one person setup.
 -
‘- The fiberglass poles are very long and as a result, somewhat fragile.
 -
‘- The width at 7 feet (at the floor) makes this a long and narrow tent relative to the length, particularly since it is not a tall tent, so the walls close in.
 -
‘- There are not enough windows. Only the top edges of the end walls and the door have zippered windows with screens. The back wall needs an opening for proper ventilation and to reduce the tunnel effect.

As with all tents, immediately do a test setup when you receive it to look for defects. And waterproof it with NikWax tent treatment. Because the fly leaves some of the walls exposed, you’ll want to treat more than just the fly.
Moving to Montanta…
Thank you for this info!
