Cuisinart 12Pc Ceramic Coated Knife Set

Cuisinart 12Pc Ceramic Coated Knife Set

Purchased in a previous wooting (2019), and perfectly happy with them. Certainly well worth $18. They’re well-made, feel solid, and I like the handles. Having said that, I don’t know thing one about knives. But they’re much better than the ones they replaced! If I have a complaint, it’s that the paring knife is a bit short. The handle is longer than the blade, which isn’t even long enough to cut through a good-sized pear or apple.

Cannot be shipped to California?

You might inadvertently protect yourself or someone else with one.

Can’t be shipped to Florida either?!

We have this set (purchased from Costco) and they’re perfect for an VRBO house rental box. We’re never quite sure how well equipped those kitchens will be se we have a tote with knives, cutting boards, oven thermometer, spices, etc. take with us.
They’re not exactly good knives, but they are good enough.
I’d keep an eye out though, they had been $10 when we bought them, but I haven’t seen them at that price in quite a while.

Hi there. Some states (or jurisdictions) have laws about selling knives to those under 18 years of age. As we don’t have a way to check ID or prohibit such sales, we have to restrict selling to those states.

We’re looking at ways to resolve this in the future but for now, sorry.

There’s no law I’m aware of (or I can find) in California about selling knives to anyone under 18.
And if Amazon can do it… I never gave my ID to Amazon.
And you have to be 18 to get a credit card, so…

at a guess amazon may have a warehouse in-state and is not selling across the state lines. or some other silliness like that

Paid about $15 for a colorful version of this set at Walmart. I do like the white blades on this set more, but regardless they are excellent for day to day use.

Someone who is under 18 can still use a prepaid ‘credit card’ of some kind, so that’s not enough of an age test for legal purposes.
You can also be an ‘authorized user’ on a parent’s account with your own card. The parent is liable for the money, but that would still entail someone underage getting themselves sent knives.

So ceramic coated, I don’t think I’ve seen that in person yet. I assume that means they can’t be sharpened?

These might cut somebody….yikes

True. But like I said, I can’t find any such law for California. And Amazon ships no problem, so not sure why Woot won’t. :frowning:

Can’t ship to New York ether!
