I do appreciate the reviews link, but the review link is for a new product. This one is refurbished and while that doesn’t always make a big difference, in the case of the this sort of product, it does.
Battery condition is always a concern for the ability of a UPS to function to any degree of dependability.

Refurbished to fix any issues, so it should be better than new condition. Just add a half star to the average review.

The batteries have been replaced by the manufacturer as part of the re-conditioning process.
About the only part that ever fails on a quality UPS is the batteries usually after 3 to 5 years. I have several that the only thing wrong is flat batteries. Some will still run and be a heavy duty spike protector with bad batteries and some will refuse to work till they are replaced. Non OEM batteries can be found pretty cheap for many of these units as well so if you buy one and they finally die you can easily replace them. I have done it for a few of mine. Some of my really old ones the batteries are hard to find and more expensive so it was cheaper to wait for a deal like this and buy a new one.
