Does it have a cd drive? There’s one in the picture. (I do actually use it)
specs say no optical drive
These are such crap. unless you need a SFF and you know you will never need a GPU. AND if that’s the case then you should buy the smaller version of these when they come by.
There’s a reason they have all these, the office setup they bought these from found them even unfit for that type of use.
In the specs it says: Optical Drive None
So I wouldn’t count on it. I bought an HP Prodesk that was actually the wrong model that didn’t match the specs. The main specs matched up but I was looking for HDMI on the back specifically. It had 2xDP instead. Luckily I have an adapter but it was still annoying because I was looking for HDMI specifically. The photos here they just use a stock image so it’s not representative of what you get.
I think I prefer Ebay for refurb computers at this point. It feels more transparent, at least with sellers that take photos of the actual item.
Hi there. We use stock photos so make sure you go by the specs as noted in the posts above.
Kind of harsh calling it “crap”. True, it’s not a gaming machine or anything like.
However, if you need a desktop to cruise the web, emails, watch YouTube or the like, then this is your puppy. And it’s not sucking a bunch of power like my home built desktop.
I have a i7-6700 running Blue Iris (security cam software) and been running 24/7 for 7 years and one week without a hitch. I just gotta blow the dust and hair out of it now and then do to my pets running around all the time where this thing is located.
Thinking hard about buying this but I probably get a never version
Maybe this version on the mothership?

at $300 this is CRAP!
at <100 you might have a use for it.
I picked up a i5 6500 smaller version of this for $10 and I have yet to find a use for it.
The issue is the MB is proprietary, they PSU is proprietary, the case is proprietary. There’s no room for anything but a low profile GPU(very limited very expensive), the PSU can’t be upgraded and isn’t powerful enough for a GPU other than one that needs no PCie power.
