I’m just curious if the “editor” every week for the shirt Derby is the same person. I’ve noticed there’s a consistent choice of cat shirts and Snoopy shirts repeatedly and occasional support of other Sci-fi series (specifically Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who & Serenity mostly) except Stargate. It’s just a curiosity thing because if it is the same editor every time then I don’t know why people try to submit a variety of images with certain subject matter, when they obviously have no chance of getting chosen. This is just my observation over the years. I’d be curious about an answer about what seems like an obvious bias.

There’s a few of us; but we typically accept designs based on what customers are purchasing. So if you’re seeing a lot of the same things, it’s because that is what is selling; Niche and smaller franchises like Stargate typically don’t have the same reach as say, a cat shirt.

We do take chances here and there with new ideas, but we have to feel like it is something our customer wants.

Hope this helps!

Another note to add, we can only curate what Artists are submitting as well! We don’t typically see a lot of Stargate or smaller sci-fi franchises that like.
