My state is considering a special tax on a product, and the special tax will be included in the value to calculate sales tax. Tax upon a tax. Then, if Woot wants to give me a gift, there is a tax: “Yes, I will fill out the tax form if I’m picked as a potential winner.” Didn’t something happen 250 years ago about taxes?

) and for the 50th anniversary, they were giving away an Aston Martin.. a $350k car. Just for the hell of it, I looked up what the taxes on that would be. Depending on the “tax bracket” of the winner, the taxes on that “prize” would be between $80k and $125k. Most people couldn’t afford to “win” that fckng car! This shit is INSANE!

I did not know, tho i used to see notifications occasionally. But the daily emails made me nuts, and i haven’t found a way to get push notifications without emails, so i turned them all off
