I had to assist a “doctor” in draining a subcutaneous abscess on my wife’s leg. The quotes around “doctor” because she should have been able to do this herself without asking the patient’s spouse to assist! I went into “emergency mode” where nothing grosses me out, I just focus on completing the task, and was able to assist. It looked very much like the second animated GIF in this thread, but I did it. Maybe I should have been a surgeon?

I could tell a story but this thread is gross enough already so I will spare everyone the details. I’ll just say that my reluctance to pop led to an infection in a sensitive body part.
