If it makes you feel better, I have to pay a higher premium to get my eyes checked because T1 diabetics are excluded from the vision plan my job offers, so it falls under medical.
Yes I wear glasses all the time. Except the shower and sleeping. Iāve had lazy eye since I was a kid. Fun fact: Shawn Mendes also struggles with lazy eye.
Iāve been this way all my life:
My left eye is near sighted but sees well up close.
My right eye is normal, but due to age, it no longer sees up close. In Georgia, I can drive without glasses.
South Carolina has a stronger optometry lobby, so I canāt here.
Now I have a %=]#!|!#% cataract in my left eye such that I canāt see up close until about 6ā away.
Surgery upcoming; the ophthalmologist says they can fix my left eye so I can finally drive with regular cool sunglasses
.
Glasses
I donāt need to for reading or driving, but I do need them for the movies and sometimes the TV.
Got glasses/contacts in my 20s I was working at a bakery mixing ingredients. The airborne sugar, flour, and other dust particles caused them to wear an ulcer on one of my eyes so no more contacts glasses only for the last 30+ years the dumb part of the story is I was wearing the contacts because I had to clean them every 5 min so I could even yklmm my just see the dust was so bad
Hey, between the two of us we have a set of two good eyes. My eyes are the oposite, itās the right eye thatās lazy. And my first āopticianā was a complete idiot - did more damage than good for my eyes. During the HS my issue was finally diagnosed correctly, but it was too late by many years. And so it is what it is. My left eye is good enough for both, so I can read and drive, and for the most of the time I function just fine. Life still goes on
To all you lazy eyes⦠me too!! Diagnosed at 15 months. Have worn glasses since then. I do not use my right eye at all - unless I cover my good eye, but then this is a strain and blur.
Have worn contacts for 56 years! Contacts with readers for 30 years. I did the patch multiple times during my younger years⦠for weeks at a time. Suffered with headaches during this time.
Two doctors said I could get glasses, but my vision is 20/20.
I started wearing glasses in the seventh grade.
I begged for contacts for years, too expensive.
I finally got hard contacts at the Air Force Base, they were only (hard contacts)
$50.00, my mom would spring for that!
I developed cataracts because of sugar and got surgery, no more glasses!
I use readers.
