Could someone confirm if this is compatible on 220v? TIA
The Dyson website says: Universal Voltage
10.8V-16.8V
Hope that helps!
My wife got one of these brand new and it lasted exactly 1 year before it started having power issues.
Caveat emptor when buying from Woot! I ordered one of these and they sent the wrong color. It took no less than NINE emails to get them to respond. I am still waiting on my $400 refund (10 days and counting). I should have learned my lesson, because I also ordered a Shark vacuum which, after three weeks of nada, they finally write to tell me they lost the order. This was a Christmas gift so now I have to scramble to find a replacement. Woot!'s customer service is slow to respond, and almost of no help when it does.
[TT: Hi there. For one order, we rec’d your item back on 11/29 and you were fully refunded on 12/4. For the other order, we rec’d the package on 12/6. Pls allow 5-7 business days for it to be processed.]
The new ones come with a two year warranty so you’re golden.
The last time this was up for sale there was only one color available. Blue/Copper.
I disagree about Woot CS. I find they are generally pretty darn good. Sometimes there’s a glitch in the system, but it’s not so hard to sort things out. Far better than mothership Amazon is these days.
Directly from Dyson:
The quick and easy answer here is no.
The Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler, Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer and Dyson Airstrait™ straightener have been precisely engineered for styling at the voltage of the country in which they were manufactured for and purchased in. When considering taking any of these products outside of the country they were manufactured for use in, where the same electrical voltage isn’t applied, they may become inoperable. Please follow the guidance on usage in the guarantee sections of the User guide.
For example. Those products manufactured for use in the United Kingdom operate on 230V and 50Hz (Voltage range of 216.2V to 253.0V), whereas the those manufactured in the United States of America operate on 120V and 60Hz. Due to this difference, a product manufacture for use in one country, may become inoperable in another.
Can I use an adaptor or an electrical convertor?
We don’t suggest the use of an adaptor or converter to use your device in another country, as that can cause damage to the machine, including permanent damage to the motor. The only Dyson device in our Hair care line that is currently rated for universal use (with the exception of Japan) is our Dyson Corrale hair straightener.
The airwrap s NOT compatible with 220 V if you buy in the US
would you guys trust this? i want one so bad but would rather wait to buy brand new. i get skeptical about factory reconditioned/refurbished
I can’t speak to this product as refurbished, but I have purchased many refurbished products without any problems.
BTW, if she used it internationally in some country with different than 120V (like Europe), she probably damaged the machine.
What is the return policy on the Dyson airwrap or Corrale
Shark vacuums are uniformly terrible. They are very much designed to be thrown away.
The vacuum cleaner subreddit is excellent at referring people to quality vacuums even those at lower price points.
I bought one last time. Absolutely fabulous and can’t tell the difference from new.
That’s unfortunate that you’ve had those experiences with Woot customer service. I buy a lot of stuff on loot, and there have been issues with my orders here and there – typically from the manufacturer, and not Woot – – but they’ve always handled my issues in a timely manner and to fair satisfaction. I bought this Dyson hot air curler styler kit earlier this year and so far everything has been fine with it.
@output555 Hi there. For one order, we rec’d your item back on 11/29 and you were fully refunded on 12/4. For the other order, we rec’d the package on 12/6. Pls allow 5-7 business days for it to be processed.
WOOT!'S HOLIDAY RETURN POLICY - Items purchased from Woot between 10/11/2023 and 12/25/2023 may be returned by contacting Woot! customer service by 1/31/2024 for a FULL REFUND. There are some restrictions, which are here.
I bought one when this was offered earlier this year. It looks new and works great. I think it is worth whatever risk there is of it being refurb vs. new but YMMV.
Nordstrom currently has new ones on sale for $100 more than this price.
