Best Buy âjustâ had this as one of their âDeals Of The Dayâ for $299 ⌠$200 off the reg. $499 price. Iâm very happy with my Dyson cordless vacuum, though I own a corded vacuum (different brand) as well, but if I were in the market for a corded vacuum this seems like a very good buy, especially (and maybe specifically) because itâs a âFactory Reconditionedâ item. I freely admit I think highly of Dyson, and my experience with their company and product has only strengthened my perception. I expect some companies might cut some corners with products they tout as being âfactory reconditionedâ, but I wouldnât expect Dyson to be one of them.
Was the Best Buy Deal of the Day also reconditioned? I share your high opinion of Dyson products. I have an All Floors model that is still going strong after 15 yrs.
I bought a refurb Dyson animal pro off of woot, about 7-8 years ago and itâs still going strong. It looked brand new when I received it.
I was so happy with purchase, that I bought a second one off of woot about 4 years ago to have one on each floor.
I was so happy with those two, I bought a third to give as a gift about 3 years ago.

I owned this vacuum. It was a beast and I loved it! I would probably still be using it today if it was stolen. This is a great deal. I would buy one if I hadnât just purchased a shark vacuum 2 weeks ago.
Can anyone speak to how well it does with pet hair? But not just on wood floors⌠thatâs easy⌠but on carpet and couches and bed spreads and upholstery and drapes and clothing ⌠and⌠and⌠ITS EVERYWHERE!!!

I have four dogs, one husky, two Golden Retrievers, and one German Shepard. Three cats, two of which are Mainecoons. I have fur everywhere too! I have had this same vacuum for five yrs absolutely love it. Works great on rugs, hardwoods and furniture. Mine had a whole bag full of adapters so they helped. Dysons warranty is the deal maker for me. I have shipped it to them three times for repairs, honestly two were my fault, and have had replacement parts sent to me in a matter of days, no questions asked. That alone warrants the price.
I appreciate everyoneâs input on this vacuum. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase one. Itâs amazing how many vacuum makers make the claim about the amazing design created specifically for homes with pets, then it tanks in short order. Overall, Iâve heard great things about Dyson, theyâre just so dang expensive!

I orded this Dyson and received it on 6/5/23. It looks slightly different than pictured but I guess itâs the same vacuum? Nowhere on it does it say âANIMAL PROâ or anything besides Dyson, which makes me wonder which model/ version it really is. Even the instructions say nothing but âDysonâ. I was unpleasantly surprised that there was dirt and hair all along the front of the floor base plate. I know itâs ârefurbishedâ but a simple 2 second wipe with a clean cloth would have left a much better impression. There were some other hairs and dust elsewhere, guess thats why its called âAnimalâ. The suction is pretty good, I used it on a small rug that my JackChi lays on a lot and it got most of the hair up. I wish the âWandâ was adjustable since it always seems too long when doing detail work. I know its removable, but then the hose is a little too short and you have to have the machine so close and fight the hose which is so tight and pulling against you. I had used a friends in the past and hoped those issues had been addressed but not so. Also, I noticed itâs quite heavy and not as easily manuverable as the one I used before. Whatever âVersionâ that was. Iâll be testing it more.
It is a wonder that Woot makes money at the end of the day. So many items are shipped in error. Quality Control person needs to check all shipments that come to the warehouse.
I received this a couple of days ago and just got it out and together for a trial run a few minutes ago. It came in new condition! I would never know this was refurbished. It even has a 6 month warranty as a refurbished, according to the literature that accompanied.
First run with it went really well. The suction is strong and I didnât have to go over the cardboard scratcher debris more than once! Picked up hair no problem on carpet and hardwood. I havenât used the hand tools yet, but Iâm excited to see how much it picks up from the couch! Here are photos. Iâm very happy with this purchase. Thanks Woot!

Through my test runs, the vacuum does work (suck?), but unfortunately the changeover valve is defective (likely why it was sent in to be refurbished, but overlooked during testing), so only the wand attachments work at the moment. I may reach out to Dyson customer service, but Iâd also like to see what itâd cost me just to buy the replacement part outright.
Just part of the âroll of the dyeâ when you buy refurbished. Mine was thoroughly cleaned, at least. The first shipment of this got lost in shipping (never scanned from the dock onto the USPS vehicle), and Wootâs customer service team took care of that like a boss. Iâm just gun-shy from more shipping!
