Got ours today! Works great, no broken parts, everything looked clean and not used. I’m in VA, btw.

Received mine today. No problems with it. Three attachment tools and owners manual. Works fine. Glad I bought it. Here is a pic. Click on it.

Thanks for the pic! Did everyone who got one get the blue/grey one instead of the blue/purple one?
This is the photo from the listing:

Got ours yesterday afternoon & it was blue/gray. Had all attachments & manuals, etc.
It was not completely brand-new (internal dust filter showed some dust on it) but pretty darn close. All visible parts were completely spotless & looked just like new.
As other folks have commented, it’s pretty amazing how much gunk you can get out of an area of carpet that looks clean.
We have vacuumed several rooms by now & are quite pleased. It is not as heavy as I had feared, based on other’s comments. Suction is awesome, noise is not too bad, maneuverability good.
It will be the perfect companion to our squadron of Roombas.
i love my dyson so much, i did not realize it was the wrong color, not as woot advertized, oh well i still like it, but woot should be careful and sell what they show. slippery slope guys.

Well, my vacuum arrived today, which is great, but one small problem.
Yes, it had everything that was promised, the tools and the owners manual.
The only problem is that it is missing one small piece that helps keep the Lifetime Filter in place on the vacuum. It still works in its current state, but I can feel I lose some suction without the filter sitting snuggly and snapped in its place. I am going to write Dyson and send them a digital pic of the vacuum with the missing piece. My only hope is that they send me the piece in the mail. I will post again after I get this resolved, one way or another.

Received mine yesterday. the tab that holds the hepa filter in was broken on mine too. Also had a slice in the cord. I sat on hold with Dyson for 20 minutes and gave up. I’ll see what happens today.
Received the Dyson Feb 1 so speedy delivery. Carton in good condition, no sign of shipping damage to the product.
Vacuum won’t stay in the upright, locked position. Customer service was courteous and tried to troubleshoot over the phone but wound up referring me to a local repair shop for warranty service.
Carton had a broken part in it. Didn’t appear to have come from the vacuum so I’m guessing it’s an “extra”. Service rep suggested taking it into the shop as well just in case.
OK, I am getting a little worried that I am a little TOO obsessed about this vacume. Called Dyson (got through right away) - 866.693.9760 (866.mydyson). I was assured there is NO DIFFERENCE between the colors of the vacume - just models. Rep was very helpful and said to call back if there were any concerns after receiving…
Ok, If I don’t get a real shipping conformation by tomorrow, I’m canceling my order.
yeah, it was the blue and grey one. don’t really care, works great. hell of a vacuum.
[QUOTE=gregopad39, post:335, topic:123450]
My order also originally had a delivery date and has since been withdrawn.
What’s the dang deal Woot?
My last order took so long I issued an order to cancel.
Three days later the product showed up.
Maybe I should do this again for the vacuum which doeth sucketh.
Hey Woot - here’s a hint. Don’t tell me it’s expected to arrive 1/31 and then suddenly remove the delivery date without an explanation. It takes skill to irritate your customers this way.

No - mine now is with fedex and I should have it next Wed (in NY).
What is the deal with the broken filter covers? Does everyone who has received theirs have this problem?

I ordered the DC14 last time Woot offered. Didn’t come with a broken clip but clip broke after we used the Vac a few times. Called Dyson (good experience) and they replaced. The replacement clip did not look like the clip that broke (shorter) but fit in the slot and worked fine. It looks like they improved the design of the plastic clip to make it shorter and more durable. Also some needle nose pliers will work nicely in removing the piece that is still in the Vac after it breaks.
We are very happy with our Vac since and I even ordered this one as a gift for my mother. I just want to know what is happening with the shipment information like others on this forum so I can give her the gift
just got mine - looks brand new! no sign of wear anywhere! we’ll see how it works tonight when i take it home… thanks woot! now i just gotta wait for my new 52" LCD i bought yesterday!
Okay, I’m a little confused and concerned here.
When I placed this order, the picture was a 100% PURPLE vacuum and the title specifically read, “Animal Vacuum”.
I comprared prices on Amazon and such (usually $500) and thus made the decision to butyit on woot for $220.
Well, got the thing today. It’s teal and the box says “Original” and not “Animal”.
I research it a bit more… Amazon is also selling this Teal “Original” model for $280 compared to the $500 for the purple one.
I’d like to get some answers here before I open the box any further, as at this point I’m considering returning it.
edit: Now I’m even more concerned.
I check Walmarts website and I see the purple DC07 Animal Vacuum on their site for $500 and the teal DC07 Original is $380.
Furthermore, it appears woot has after-the-fact changed their picture and title from this product after we ordered it.
It appears that I did not get what I paid for, and rather than getting a $500 machine for $220 I got a $280 machine for $220.
Definitely waiting on an explanation on this…
edit 2:
From the feature list there appears to be a lot of differences. Including ones that are important to me.
The animal one we PAID for has “Mini-turbine head cleans pet hair from upholstery, stairs and the car” and the Original doesn’t have this as a listed feature.
Reversible wand on the purple one is 17 feet, original is 14 feet.
The animal one has a “Low reach floor tool for easier cleaning under low furniture” that the original one doesnt.
The shipping weight is also 7 lbs more on the animal one… which means it comes with more stuff.
etc
I’m pissed.
The Dyson DC07 in your original listing is the “DC07 Full Kit” which can be identified by it’s teal & purple color. The “full Kit” model comes with 2 additional attachments and an extra filter.
Hey WOOT!! Why the bait and switch?
I have learned that you are shipping a different version of the DC07 (Blue & gray) that DOES NOT include the 2 extra attachments & filter. PLUS several Woot members are complaining that parts are missing or broken and have to contact Dyson for repairs.
Below is a link to the DC07 that should be delivered. You can see why this “Full Kit” model is a much better buy.
I have yet to receive mine but will be requesting a full refund and pre-paid return shipping label if I receive a substitute DC07 without the additional tools and fliter.

I have to say this is concerning to me. I wondered why it was a different color than the one in the picture. This is my first woot and I got a damaged dyson, not the filter but the wand, so I can use it for attachements but not as an upright to actually vacuum my carpets since I can’t install the wand. I would love an explanation for the switch in product. I would much rather have gotten the full kit that was shown in the photo since I need the turbine head.
ETA: The first post of this thread still shows the purple and teal vacuum!

The one I got is teal/grey also. However, except for the color, we’re getting exactly what the listing included: DC07 vacuum cleaner, owner’s manual + brush, stair & crevice tools. (I know some folks haven’t gotten tools or manual, but they were supposed to come with & no doubt will be supplied on request.) The listing didn’t say anything about a Full Kit model or any additional tools.
I’d like the teal/purple one better, but can’t honestly say I wouldn’t have purchased this color.

The thing is dysons are identifiable by there color so if you researched this vacuum based on the color of it you didn’t get what you wanted. I could really use the turbine tool and the floor tool. To buy those seperate is really expensive. When you consider that the last dyson on woot was only $25 more it was a much better deal than what this has turned out to be since it didn’t have those extra items. According to the dyson site the turbine head is $69.99 and the floor tool is $39.99. So that is over $100 worth of accessories. So compare this to the last dyson woot and it is not a good deal. I am disappointed, plus like I said before mine is broken/damaged so I have a non functioning vacuum as of now. Woot told me they would get a replacement to me soon, but I am unsure how long it will take. I think they said it would take a few days to process and then to allow shipping time.
I got the silver & blue version (no purple) – but everything works. I’m actually OK w/ the silver & blue – it has an industrial look to it.
Well, ours arrived today in perfect condition. The only problem? The manual and tools sent were for the DC15 “Ball” and don’t fit this vacuum. So, I’ll be waiting on hold with the rest of ya tomorrow trying to get the right tools. Haven’t tried the vacuum yet, as I wanted to wait until we got ahold of Dyson to find out what to do.
Woot! Got my vacume! It is teal and gray (which I like better anyway). This just confirms what the Dyson rep told me - this model is sold at Walmart (price tonight was $378.42 so I still feel like I got a great deal). Mine looked brand new (even had the red tag on it that says remove before turning on vacume). Works great. Was glad it didn’t fill the canister on the first run (I would have felt dirty!), but it did pick up A LOT of cat hair and dirt (yuck!). My old vacume will sit in the closet until it finds a good home. The Dyson is here to stay.
FYI - registered my vacume tonight. This is the “Dyson Original” Hmmmm… good thing I like this vacume so much or I might feel a little cheated. Woot, maybe next time you can clarify this BEFORE purchase. Still the best price around (albeit maybe not as good of a deal as I originally thought).
