Neither the description or their own website tells you what type of battery is in here, and there’s zero mention of NRTL Certification. In fact their own website seems confused about what it is, as it lists, “Engine Type 4 Stroke”
Why is woot even selling this fire hazard?

[TT: Seriously?]

From the user manual:

Edit: also found these pics that do show some certification marks…

From those pics, it looks like their primary safety certifications are from SGS and TUV, both of which are NRTLs.

So I got mine and was verifying it worked. I find it extremely difficult to see the display in daylight. Anyone else have this problem and/or a work around?

I do realize this is meant for power outages, however, I’d like to be able to see the charging status during the day.

Is there a protective film over it by chance?

I haven’t checked in daylight yet, but I’ll get back to you on that. It has done fine with my initial usage in the garage, and in the shade of a patio in the evening.

Oops. Should have been more clear. I had removed it previous to my first post.

DRAT!

LCD screen maybe? Those aren’t as bright.

I just had cataract surgery and it has made a HUGE difference in what I can see.

Yesterday I was looking at my phone in the sunlight and I COULD STILL SEE THE SCREEN!

Have you considered that? Or, maybe use some sunglasses to look at the screen?
