Hear me out, go to your grocdry store or dollar parlor and pick up the same 24 pack for less than $3. What is up with woots terrible prices on grocery items?
Can’t compare walk-in prices to online prices.
Hahaha!
I sure can. People do it all the time. People should do it. It’s silly not to.
It’s not a level playing field.
Ie,
Someone doesn’t drive.
The nearest store is 5 miles away.
That person uses a walker to get around.
There are no busses in her town.
You’re smart enough to see where I’m going here.
Online prices need to be compared to online prices.
People can determine for themselves whether they can get to the store or not. All I’m doing is letting people know there are far better prices out there if they regularly go to a dollar or grocery store which probably accounts for well over half of shoppers.
I’m not telling woot it can’t sell this item at this price. I’m letting other shoppers know they can save money by buying somewhere else.
You act as if you’ve never looked at an online price and said nah, I’ll buy that the next time I go to the store.
Then they already know. So why bother?
If you find a lower online price from a reputable retailer, then it’s possible Woot can lower their price or kill the sale. That’s actually helpful to customers.
36 - 2 oz ice pops local store $2.99. Free home delivery same day through their online shopping app.
You don’t know that they know. There are plenty of products at my grocery store whose price I’m not familiar with. Stores literally stock tens of thousands of products. To assume that all shoppers know the price of every product is not reasonable especially with a seasonal item such as ice pops which people are not purchasing on a regular basis.
Excellent point. Many grocery stores now offer delivery, just like woot.
well, knock yourself out then.
Have fun.
You have to factor in the shipping price.
Home delivery without a Walmart + membership is $10. So a total of $13. Exact same as Woot when you factor in Woot’s $6 shipping charge.
Of course, most people wouldn’t just order one thing from Walmart. Fun Pops would likely be part of a larger order.
Wait, so you are not supposed to blindly buy what is served up? I thought I might be doing something wrong
That’s the curbside price. It’s noted as not available for shipping when I looked at it yesterday.
Did you try the delivery option? That’s separate from shipping. Delivery is also dependent upon which specific walmart you are shopping online and what your address is.
