Sweet! now with a card reader.

I have been hoping and praying for a tablet forever…Whoohoo! Prayers Answered!!!

I don’t know too many tablets that support SD cards. If only the card would actually fit into the tablet, you could easily double it’s internal memory for pretty cheap!

I will say the Galaxy tab 10.1 is a great tablet. I love the one I have.

apple. android. -sigh-

this fight is giving me a headache.

maybe i’ll take two tablets and call myself in the morning.

Is it wifi only, or does it support a 3G/4G data plan?

Labeled as wifi only on the Product Page

Wifi only, unless you can tether your cell phone to it.

I’d rather have a Samsung than an Ipad any day

You can get a refurbished (which is basically new, as you get new casing and battery plus a full 1-year warranty) 16GB iPad 2 from the Apple Store for $349 now. Objectively speaking, the iPad 2 blows this thing out of the water for the same price. Even my two most mindless Apple-hating friends have conceded that their Galaxy Tabs are pretty crappy next to the iPad.

But if you feel absolutely compelled to buy this tablet, I can’t do anything for you.

Quite a few, actually. Including some of Samsung’s other Android tablets.

That said, the 10.1 is a nice device. I’m running an aftermarket Android ICS ROM on mine, and while the cameras don’t work with ICS everything else does very well.

I’m wary of getting refurbs. The initial few waves of the 10.1 had quality control issues (I had to return the first one I got that bricked 30 seconds after powering on). There were lots of reports of “Newton Rings” (oily looking pressure spots between the outer glass and the display.

All in all, this a great tablet. The new iPad 3 kind of kills it screen and performance wise, but the restrictions of iOS are a dealbreaker for many.

Is this upgradable to ICS?

Oh, and Apple vs Android battles are the worst thing going on the internet. Please just state facts and refrain from hyperbole and emotional rhetoric. These are massive companies, not gods.

My Acer does! 16gb of micro SD installed running 3.2. Don’t see this selling out today. Gnite!

Yes, you can upgrade yourself to ICS with an aftermarket ROM. That will invalidate your warranty unless you know how to “repack” the stock ROM.

Samsung has put the 10.1 on its list of devices that will receive an update to ICS, but they haven’t been so kind as to say when other than Q1 or Q2.

i rather have a samsung than an apple anything!!! i love my samsung 10.1 and htc thunderbolt and hate my iphone 4. When i use my iphone it makes me feel like i’m being restricted like i’m a little kid being told “no you cant do that”. once you tried droid, apple seems to be bitter and for the mindless mass that buy something just cuz everyone else does.

snerk
