Makes a large squealing noise on occasion. Very similar to a pig being slaughtered. Not what you would expect from an expensive Ice maker.
I’ve had one for well over a year now and it’s never made a noise like that.
I’ve read reviews that some (many?) people have had this noise occur and that some people have even been able to pretty easily fix the issue….thankfully I’ve never had the issue. Atleast not yet.
With that being said, best ice maker ever. I have the side tank as well and am considering hooking it directly to the water supply as it’s definitely now a permanent fixture in the kitchen. This price is a great deal! Note this isn’t the “WiFi” version but, I’m not sure why that is even needed.
