Gigabyte Aorus 15x 15.6" QHD Laptop

So, Mr. Reseller, how much are you making per unit on something like this? Genuinely curious.

Maybe the reason you haven’t received a reply is because it’s “Ms. Reseller”? The WOOT! price is close to $400 less than the current Amazon price, and the Amazon price is almost $400 less than CCC price history. So, I’d say the profit margin is minimal. Since there’s only been 13 hits on this laptop and its already sold out, I’d think WOOT! only got their hands a few or less for this sale.
The bigger issue that I’m seeing in the reviews for these Gigabyte laptops with the NVidia rtx4000 series cards is that if the video card fails, replacements for repairs are close to impossible since NVidia is no longer manufacturing this series. You’d have to hope for a refurb.

More than a few.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

Hardware pricing is slightly more intricate, and you can’t merely rely on price comparisons/histories, as the actual worth of the hardware at the time is the true metric. This laptop should currently be valued at about $1,300. So the Woot price is indeed a good deal. However, it’s not that great of a deal for resale, because even without sales tax, the fees, other costs, and ultimately income tax cut into the margin on each unit to not make it worthwhile unless it gets sold at inflated prices, like for $1,500-1,600. Because I’m just not seeing how a double-digit net revenue is worth the effort for a high-value item, unless it’s sold in bulk.

Maybe the reseller owns a local PC shop and is ripping people off by selling these for two grand (I’ve seen this before). I don’t know. That’s why I’d like some input from them.

There was about a dozen for sale. I kept track of this one and at one point shortly before sell-out all the stat figures hit an even 10% split.

Around 12.5, based on how this was the second purchase for 8% of customers.

That’s just rounding. My guess is there were 13 units.

Well I did say “around”.

The rounding comes from them smoothing out the edges of the laptop which was cut in half.

I have a question y’all. When contacting customer service for a price adjustment where do you ask ? cuz a did this previously but now it looks different and there’s never an exact option that looks right it is an account related question but now it asks for you to leave your four digit credit card number. I don’t think so. So what section do I put it under does anybody know??? Lol and I’m putting the question here because I don’t know where in the forum that I’m supposed to ask because it’s a random question and if I put it under anything but. woot no one doesn’t answer shitt🥇t5

A price adjustment would be a question about an order.

Could you tell me exactly what you chose on the support form (step-by-step) to get where it asked you for the CC info? Also, were you logged into your account?

Then what is this number beside the item in the discussion?

I think the number of clicks.

Thanks for confirming.
So, at the time I left my comment there were 13 clicks and 12.5 of the 13 of the clicks resulted in a sale according to the sales stats., which I obviously hadn’t looked at when I left my comment.
Thanks to all for taking the time to respond.
Movin’ on…

Only a fraction of sales come through forum clicks. The majority will come through the storefront. Also, this deal (among others) hit major deal sites, some of which had thousands of clickthroughs to the storefront link.

For this particular deal, the deal sites reacted too late, about a 20 minutes into it, when it was almost sold out.

This one was absolutely picked up by a single reseller, aside from that one CA sale.
