Coal powered green things. Whodathunkit?
The compatible batteries listed aren’t the one being sold, and the voltages don’t even match. I see a lot of disgruntled customers and returns in your future unless I’m missing something.
Ok, so the pole saw and hedge trimmer are the only ones that have the same voltage as the battery and charger you’re selling. The hedge trimmer actually links to them in the description, but the pole saw doesn’t even list compatible batteries. It also says battery and charger not included, but says this in the specs:
In the Box:
(1) GreenWorks 20102A 24-Volt 2 Amp-Hour Cordless Lithium Ion 8-Inch Pole Saw/Tree Pruner
(1) Battery
(1) Charger
Vegitation? Really??? There’s a whole bunch of cutesy “typos” on the site today, but this one simply looks like a mistake.
tbase: You brought up a lot of good questions. Our team relooked at the sale and made a lot of changes so THANK YOU!
Here’s what they did:
-
The “In the Box” on the Pole Saw has been fixed. CS has been notified to offer a cancellation to these 5 customers. -
All four Bare Tool offers now have “battery & charger not included” messaging in the photo caption, as well as in the title and features -
Two Bare Tool offers link to our battery & charger, which are compatible and for sale on our site -
Two Bare Tool offers link to Amazon items which are compatible -
The battery and charger themselves indicate in the features and in the caption that they are only compatible with two of the models for sale today.
We hear ya; this was confusing. We’ve beefed up the battery compatibility information we have to the features of each item.
For the 24V pole saw and the 24V hedge trimmer bare tools, you’ll see links to our 24V battery and 24V charger. These are all inter-compatible.
For the 20V chain saw and the 40V sweeper bare tools, we couldn’t get any batteries or chargers to sell you, so instead we’re providing links to the correct batteries and chargers on Amazon.
And finally, you correctly pointed out an error in our specs on the pole saw. We fixed it, and we’ll get in touch with the folks who bought 'em to be sure they’re happy.
Thanks for your vigilance!
The message onthe Pole saw in my cart says that it cant’ be delivered to my address. The address is a standard house. How do I get it delivered?
[MOD: I see an order so I think you figured it out?]

Great job getting that all clarified and updated, thanks!
Thanks for the quick fixes and clarification!
discontinued by manufacturer
The Greenworks batteries are horrible. They last for a few charge cycles and then die. Really cheap Chinese junk. The tools themselves are not so bad. So a different manufacturer battery, if it is compatible, is much better anyway.
I bought the 8" pole Greenworks chain saw this fall…I got it through WOOT…used it on several trees…I thought it worked great…had to adjust the chain several times…overall it worked great…no ladder was needed and I felt safe on the ground with it. The saw is hard on your arms…it is somewhat heavy. I just bought another bare saw…might need some extra parts if I have an issue later on…for $29.00 it was a no brainer…I might be able to add the mid section pole to get more reach…that would be a big plus…very pleased with this tool…for the original $49.00 it was a great investment… The battery lasted for 20 minutes of cutting…it was plenty of time to get my job done.
Where’s the Digipro chainsaw? You can’t decimate much with 20 volts!
Can’t speak for anything but the leaf blower. Keep in mind I had it 3 years ago. My mother bought one of theses from QVC for me. The thing worked for about 3 months before the battery would no longer charge. I have a big house so I was not really upset about this (I needed a gas power blower anyway). Just be wary. Maybe I got the only bad one.

No, you didn’t get the only bad one. All the batteries were bad.
I’m in for the 20v chainsaw. I already have 2 Greenworks 20v weed eaters that I bought from Woot last year. One to use and one for a backup battery. The price for an additional battery on Amazon was as much as the weed eater with battery and charger on Woot! I put the weed eater through its paces last summer and was very pleased with the results. Not to mention the batteries will work with the chainsaw I just ordered! I also have a Greenworks electric snow shovel that I have been using during the recent snowstorm here on the east coast. It kicks Butt! Neighbors scoffed at the thought of an electric snow shovel, until they saw it in use. Now I’m the envy of the neighborhood! Once again very pleased with Greenworks products.

I purchased the 24 volt 8" pole saw the last time they were listed but mine came with a battery charger that had a European plug. I contacted support and they told me you didn’t have any of the correct charges to replace mine and my only option was to return the saw. Now you are selling the chargers individually. What’s up with that?
Keep in mind the 40V are not G-Max batteries, which are the 2nd generation of the 40v battery. They’re not cross compatible I believe.
The leaf blower doesn’t do leaves well (battery power not enough!). But I use my Ryobi leaf blower to dust the house. Beats playing games with the chandeliers (why did my wife want one of those things?!)…
