Hello,
Yes, it worked great! It was a little work setting it up with wire, then buried underground. To set the boundaries. But then it smooth sailing for years! I do not have it anymore, because it eventually stopped working. Dead battery. I was renting then, and decided to throw it away instead of replacing the battery.
I’d suggest only buying one if you own a home.

In 2013 I replaced a tee shirt that I had bought that I loved. I don’t know how long before that I shopped, because I don’t know my pre 2010 email address, but it was definitely before that. My average tee shirt lifespan is 4-7 years.

July 7th, 2006. In for 2 overpriced Magellan GPS’s. 2nd purchase was on the 17th, A ROOMBA! All hail the robot overlords. Only 1 BOC in all that time.

I prefer to think in quantity vs time - enough to deck out two houses in two years

At that rate I bought enough to fill a room in just a few months

I purchased a tomtom gps years ago (not from woot) with supposedly lifetime updates $100+ probably closer to $200. After several years of updates the unit is so old & doesn’t have enough memory for the newest maps. They kept sending me emails to upgrade the gps. Not! I will never buy another stand alone gps unit.

I use my cell phone now with Google maps (don’t like waze). If anyone is considering buying a gps unit do yourself a favor & buy a cheap $20 TracFone (smartphone) from Wally world, target or hsn & use that. Google maps gets updated often & you no longer need a live phone plan with data to use it. It works offline with the maps stored on your phone or memory card. Just bring it in the house & update via WiFi then throw it in your glovebox.

I’ve said it before, technology advancements are amazing. :grinning:

Our profiles used to indicate our join date. I know I lurked off and on before becoming the greatest dad ever by upgrading the kids’ MP3 players to an entire GB in 2007 with my first Woot.

Yeah, I just browsed a bit. They are usually around $60, but go on sale. Target has 1 for 30 right now & black Friday had some for $20.

Plus if you follow sites like Slickdeals you can find bargains, the people there are real misers & they love to share bargains. You just have to look. :hugs:
