Does it allow for wired network or only wireless?

Yes, it has a 1Gb Ethernet port as well as WiFi. I have the color version of this printer. Cartridges are so expensive it’s pretty much the same as buying a new printer every time. Outside of cost, it’s a great printer. Works very well with Mac’s. I’m assuming this monochrome version would be the same.
Yeah, you are correct over $200 for the 58x black toner cartridge. The old time worn marketing gimmick - give away the razor handle and make $$ on the blades.

Is HP as awful with their toner as they are with their ink?
Printer was delivered very poorly packed, filthy with smudge marks and damage everywhere. This company has gone downhill quickly. Hopefully some of you received better printers than my piece of junk.
