Time to learn all about the processor
This is decent PC. You will game with authority on a box like this. Get a storage drive and you’re golden.
Even more from Notebook Check (the GPU this time)
Meh. Newegg has a current gen Asus ROG GL551 with a 960M, and the i7 4720 cpu for the same price.
860m 15" laptops shouldn’t be priced higher than $900 imo
Yikes… why get this when you could get a factory-new laptop, with a better processor, a 10-key, more RAM, a better graphics card with more memory, and a larger SSD, for the same price?

The only con I see on this Lenovo is it might not have an IPS screen. That’s a topic hotly under debate on the Slickdeals forum. Everything else is equivalent or better, unless you like HP over Lenovo. Just slap one of these on the back, and you’re golden.

Nice laptop, not really a steal at this price though.
My sentiments exactly. I like to have the keypad on the right, but I can understand personal preference to have a larger keyboard instead. For a factory reconditioned, this should be 100-150 cheaper at least.
This MSI 17.3" is new $50 less-current shell-shocker on Newegg, so it won’t last. I realize it’s a different screen size, but it has better videocard and more ram. A 240GB SSD is $85-$100, but then you can use the spare 1TB drive for storage, and as a back-up drive.
I’m pretty sure that Asus laptop has a TN display. The IPS panel on this laptop is pushing up the price. Ironically it also makes it slightly less desirable for gaming since it will be a touch slower, but honestly between the two I would go for the IPS panel every time.
guys, i dont under stand the factory condition.
is this means if i bought this labtop and i dont have the warranty?
I just saw this on sale on Amazon for $999.99, anyone know whether that was refurb and when it’ll be back?
I bought one of these in April when it was about $100 more. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Please note the USB dongle does NOT COME WITH IT. I notified Woot about this back when I bought it, but they apparently haven’t done anything about it.
PS: Lenovo deal sold out. My personal experience with Lenovos isn’t that good, either, so do your research and make the decision that’s right for you.
This machine, though, is nice and worth $999, IMO.
EDIT: also, that MSI doesn’t have a touchscreen and is around 2lbs heavier.
If I didn’t just buy a Spectre x360 I’d buy this laptop in a heartbeat… Great deal for it.
Warranty: 90 Day HP
After that you’d have to get a SquareTrade warranty.
