alright, i may have been wrong on this before. i was just told some of the notebooks from the mini woot-off were supposed to have wireless.
if you haven’t already, send an e-mail to service@woot.com and they’ll be able to help you out.
I emailed rma and requested an rma #. How long does this process usually take? I’ve sent 3 emails since last week with no response from woot yet. whats the deal??? :?
i believe they’re working on a solution for anyone that had problems with these, so i’d say just hold on until they get that figured out. they’ve always been good to people about that sort of thing if something gets screwed up, so that would definitely be in your best interest.
if you just want to return the notebook, you might be able to get a quicker response if you tell them that, but that may require that you pay for return shipping.
but like i said, they’re still working on a solution, so it’d be best to just hold tight for now. i would watch your e-mail and this thread for a reply, but i don’t know when.
I’ll try to confirm the issue is resolved tomorrow if it hasn’t been already.
One thing of interest to me – does the white HP label on your notebook indicate wireless? (am interested because of a previous case of HP label error I became involved with)
