Purchased this earlier – if the specs are right, this is an excellent deal. Sure, a 12th and 13th gen i3 surpasses the 10th gen i5, but its performance is still well and beyond every i7 from 7th gen and older.
Add another stick of RAM and a larger SSD, and we’re still looking around $200.

Agree, ordered one just now. Now whether the specs are accurate is the question. The Lenovo laptop I picked up last month was a similarly good deal but the i7 promised turned out to be a i3 and the hd was not an SSD. So, well, doubts are warranted, lol.
Ouch. Hard drives still have their place for archival storage but as a boot drive, absolutely not! Nowadays, 250± GB drives can be had for around $20.
Agreed. For the price it was still a good deal, but I will have to upgrade the drive eventually.
Here’s hoping these specs hold true.
Shipped fast. Ordered last night, already on the way this afternoon. Delivery is scheduled for Friday.
It looks like a decent buy so I got one. I just need one good desktop so I pressed the button and got one. I hope it has a space for a gamer video card in it. I want to put a RTX 4000 series in it. Who knows… until I physically see it…
Still a good buy for what it is… it just needs a few extra things here and there… a computer nip and tuck…

Not going to happen. Slimline case, so low profile cards only and the 12VO power supply will be inadequate for a GPU.

Been looking for a decent, cheap desktop I can use for a Plex server, this (with an extra stick of RAM) will fit the bill very nicely, and the price is definitely right! Glad I didn’t pull the trigger on a 6th gen i5 or i7 micro desktop for around the same price earlier.
Jumping the topic a little bit, do you have experience with Plex?
I ask because i run one, and I’m not super thrilled with it. I also don’t want to pay for it, and I know there’s other options.
Just curious how you landed on Plex? Thank you!
Ordered this, got a completely different model s01-pf2003wb with a celeron
Oh, bummer. Maybe staffer @lioncow can help with that

after looking it up i have an idea they product is too good to be true… the specs are for the hp slim s01-pF106 not the hp slim s01-pF103 which is the celeron one. the monkey better give me the i5… yes… the eye fiver… yes you… monkey… all you monkies better give me the i5 one…
… monkey…

Same here. Received the pc today and it is indeed a Celeron processor, clocking 2ghz. Not anywhere near the 4ghz 8 core i5 that was advertised. Further it is 4gb of ram not 8gb as advertised.
Really getting irritated with these false specs. I had the same issue with a laptop last month.
Plus I used the $10 off coupon on this from @thunderthighs happy hour last month. No idea if that can get reissued on a return.
I will contact customer service, but this is a real problem and is costing Woot and more importantly from my perspective, Me, time , effort and frustration that it shouldn’t.
Regarding the coupon, be sure to tell CS that you used a coupon and would like for them to reissue it. It’s a manual process to do so and won’t happen automatically.

Thanks. I already emailed but will follow up with that request upon their response. Appreciated.
Also got this delivered today, it did not match the specs.
Received a HP Slim Desktop S01-aF2003w instead, which has a Celeron J4025 dual-core with 4GB of 2400MT/s DDR4 RAM, definitely not what was advertised/listed
TL;DR: Don’t buy, specs are incorrect, you will receive a severely kneecapped PC instead.
Yup. I can see this happening once, but this is two for two in terms of my purchases of PCs here. BOCs are at least advertised as disappointment guaranteed. The mainline stuff shouldn’t be and definitely shouldn’t be wrong consistently. ![]()
If you mention that you used a coupon, they can issue a new one/allow you to reuse the old one. (I’ve had each of those happen.)
