I’m 5’ tall. Will the size 16 hurley e-bike work for me? Can’t find any info on sizing.

I was wondering this too since my wife is that height. Nothing about sizing on the Hurley website that I could find.

Yes it should be ok. Traditional frames you’d want something a bit smaller but since the support bar is missing you don’t have anything to step over.

I’d say 16 on this bike would be ok for anyone up to 5’6 and 19 is good for 5’6 and above (5’6 just gets their preference :joy:)

How much does it way? What size are the tires?

I have the same question how much does it weigh? What is the return policy?

I can’t find a single review on this bike anywhere. It is indeed 1/2 off, which should be a good deal, too good really.
I did notice the lack of suspension in the seat post.
I did find this

And apparently the N7 takes a lot more power to move, that needs to be made up by you and the battery.
Also, Gates makes very high quality belts for severe duty applications, but the model here isn’t specified, and the low end ā€˜urban’ model has had issues.

Under Features it says ā€œFront 100mm suspension fork with lockout.ā€ Photo show a rigid fork. Which is it?

There is a shock there, it’s a mono shock though; not the type you are used to seeing. Look for the boot above where the forks join.

This seems like a great deal so I ordered one, we will see how it goes. The lack of specifications is annoying but a mid drive carbon belt 48v (probably 17 ah based on range claims) single speed bike for this price seems like it would be a good deal, so it feels like getting the 7 speed hub and included racks for free. Pretty much anything I could find that matched the core specs of mid drive belt with a Shimano hub was $2k+ even on sales. This has mostly name brand components that are on the low end but at least not no name. The shock is the cheesiest part for sure (I don’t see how it can be 100mm of travel) but that can be upgraded fairly easily if it’s truly bad.
The motor is probably the biggest question, I think it might be the MM28N from here https://www.necoparts.com/Templates/att/2023-2024%20Neco%20Motor%20catalogue.pdf?lng=en
Neco seems to be relatively new to the ebike motor game, but it has good specs and torque sensing. But I do suspect it’s really only a 500w motor ( the / 750w in the catalog is literally in a different font and has no matching voltage). Also the picture of the Ultimate Urban sure looks like it has the casing for the MM18 model which is definitely only 500w so…?

Thank you! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fork like that. Good to know.

Hello all! From our vendors:

  1. Weight limit on the bike is 264 Lbs
  2. Recommended size is 16 inch
  3. Yes the 16ā€ size would work great for them
  4. The bike is 60lbs
  5. The bike has 27ā€ tires

Battery capacity? Recommended heights or inseams for the two frame sizes? Assuming there’s no throttle since it’s mid-drive?
I tried the Joy Ride website contact form but no response yet.

Do we know the amp hours on the 48 Volt battery? Does the bike have a throttle as advertised?

Hello, I see you all have MANY questions and I have been peppering our Vendor staff all day. It is the 4th and you will not likely get a response today.

I see the listing and their website says there’s a throttle but I sure don’t see one in any of the photos. Can anyone confirm if this has a throttle?

I guess no more news on this thing. 12 hours to go.

It’s a moot point now but in case anyone is curious I received mine yesterday. The listed specs are downright fraudulent, it does not have a throttle and it only assists to 20 mph. There is no setting in the controller to increase it to 28 mph, the controller allows a max of 41 kph, or a little over 25 mph, but increasing the setting doesn’t increase the speed of the bike. The motor is the Neco MM18, which was noted above the manufacturer lists a max power of 500 W, not 750. Other than that, though, it’s very nice and it seems unnecessary to misrepresent it. if people bought it expecting a class 2 mid-drive they would probably be quite happy. As it is I expect another sale on these in a little while after the returns pour in

edit: 11.6 AH, 556 WH battery

To unlock the class 3 speeds (28 MPH) hold the power and plus buttons for ~3 seconds while it’s turned on.
