So far i haven’t seen anything so far to buy (i looked at all the other stuff woot sold). This palm pilot B&W think kills. They should get some video games!!! ![]()
I’d do for a nice IPAQ PDA with Wireless technology.
Or a USB hub.
Maybe a mini-UFO?

$40 buy it now price on ebay, and shipping is reasonable depending on where you live.
Looks like someone wanted it since its gone.
I’d go for that.
Does anyone know about running Basic and inputting Data Via RS 232 on a PDA?
I was thinking about this just an hour ago then came here and saw this for sale.
I bought a Palm 5 a year ago but never did anything with it except look at it.
DVM=digital volt meter
I want to collect data from a Radio Shack DVM that has RS232. It has a basic
program that opens the RS232 port and collects a few bytes of data then waits
one second to 60 minutes then does it again.
It’s useful for collecting whatever is on the DVM screen.
My laptop will work but it’s a bit big and bulky.

I answered my own question when I found this site
http://www.bb-elec.com/press_releases/syphon.html
that has a nice FREE software to turn your PDA into a
measurement and control instrument with graphical
capabilities.
http://www.bb-elec.com/palm/welcome.asp
Up to eleven analog and three digital inputs can be displayed.
And you can control three digital outputs.
Data can be displayed in numeric, gauge or graph form. (what is Gauge form?)
Longer term trends can be monitored using graphing.
Syphon uses the popular 232SDA12 I/O module and a
special serial cable from B&B Electronics to create a complete measurement solution for under $100.
Compatible with all Palm™ PDA’s running OS 3.5 or newer, Syphon software gets you
up and running without having to write your own custom application.
The user can configure the name, scaling, units and resolution of each of the eleven
12-bit analog input channels. The digital inputs and outputs are equally easy to handle.
“Lights” on the screen tell you if your input is on or off.
Tap the output “light” to toggle each digital output
Not bad for $100. Ebay price might be under $75
I’m still waiting for my USB fans I never got because of the database problems.

Did you get charged for them? If not, count them as a missed blessing. I probably got your three.
My m500 does everything I need it to. If it was broken I’d pounce on this (watch, that’ll happen tomorrow). Not sure why so many people have the fascination with color screens; I’ll take the longer battery life, thanks.
This would be an excellent starter Palm for someone who is toying with the idea of getting one, but isn’t sure how much they’ll use it. (I started with an m100, and moved up to the m500 about 8 months later, once I knew it wouldn’t be just a useless gadget I stopped using after a couple of weeks.) Much superior to buying a new Zire, IMHO.
 I’m sure this is pretty much it for this week, the weekend deal usually suck, tonight is last deal til sunday night…
Pleh. Gimme color woot

My order is # 10005660
Thanks!
Six days later, fedex has the order number but says they haven’t received the package.
Has anyone here received their IBM pad yet?
