How can Woot sell so many of these?
Awww, they had this same one not too long ago. I want the 530 or higher model… these 400 series aren’t programmable.

What would thrill me, woot-wise, would be a sale on Roomba batteries. I’ve discovered that if you pack up your Roomba and leave the battery in it, it becomes completely useless after five days and you have to buy another battery. No, the “reset” instructions don’t work. You gotta buy a new battery.
Other than that, they’re great on pet hair and for amusing your non-Roomba-owning friends.
If I bought a Roomba for every time Woot was selling one they wouldn’t even need wheels they would take up my entire floor.
Every time I see one of these, I want to whip out my hot glue gun and attach ears and a tail to it, and have a RoboPuppy that can do floors!!
Can’t get into corners, likes to hide under furniture, battery died AND my cats won’t ride on it.
Anyone know the difference between these and the 540?

These are last generation models, lacking all the cool new features.
I am still using the “iRobot Roomba Sage with Convenience Pack (4110)” purchased on Woot on 5/31/06. I just had to swap it once under warranty because it stopped working & had to buy a new battery about two years ago. Pretty happy with it.
To Roomba or not to Roomba. That is the question!

Here is an idea. Buy about 20 of them, turn them on and set them loose. You can have a demolition derby. The losers will be able to be replaced via Woot and the non stop Roomba offerings.

Also, if there is a wet mess on your carpet (for example a pet poop or puke), these things will smear it all over your house.
I would rather vacuum than use these creepy mini robots.
I love my iRobot. My first 2 roomba’s were and are 400 series. But once you go to the 500 series there is a huge difference. I would pay $100 more for the 550 series models. Not to say that I don’t love the original 400 series models, but the newer models are a vast improvement. I really can’t wait to see the new 770 on woot. That is my next roomba purchase.
