why clean up? If when you can have a robot do it for you!
how do you find the current moofi?
So roomba experts, I have wood floors, pets leave lots of pet hair. What is the roomba I should wait to buy next time woot sells them.

This one would be fine for wood floors, and you can always add the Easy Clean Brush which is the same brush that iRobot included with the pet series models, and it’s definitely easier to clean long hair out of. (If your pets have short fur, you don’t even need the easy clean brush.)
This is definitely a basic model, and it’s a couple of generations old, but it will do the job and it is BY FAR the least you will spend on a Roomba.
If you have specific questions, rather than ask them here your best bet is just to search the Roomba Message Board first. More than likely, your question has already been asked and answered there already.
Yes, this model will work with a charging station. Almost all models will work with a charging station, even if they don’t ship with it. The notable exceptions are the Roomba 400 and the Roomba 510. Both of those have no connections to use the homebase, as far as I know, all other models do.
Batteries are always tough, but I usually get generics on ebay or on amazon when I need a new battery. You can also rebuild them yourself if your adventurous, but it usually doesn’t save you that much money to make it worthwhile in my opinion.
they make a pet hair roomba, but honestly any roomba is great if you have pets…and entertaining! http://youtu.be/vf9wHkkNGUU
put the pets to work…
Are there any Pimp My 'Ba kits available? That front grill screams of expansion into a full on Geordi Laforge visor.
Easy. Just go over to Deals and search for Moofi.
Or click here.
I love mine (500 series) but am waiting for Woot to have the one that washes floors. I need it!
It’s called a scooba and they often have it.
This one does not have the DOCKING Station. that is a big deal for me. I have two of the ones with docking and love them.
I am wondering if iRobot is a wholly owned subsidiary of Woot or vice versa. When will we see a Flowbee on Woot?
New ones have a year warranty. And they were great about sending a replacement for my last-gen Roomba (didn’t even ask for the old one back, they just asked me to discard it). I eventually got a 5xx series though. And idk what’s wrong with yours, but they are modular enough so that you can replace common faulted parts like the brush cage and I think the brush motor. I got another Roomba over the new smarter unproven vacuums specifically because of the modularity.
I bought this the last time around, used it yesterday for the 2nd time. I found I need to watch it, it got stuck several times and would have burned out had I not been there and retrieved it. It cleans forever and does a very good job I must say. There seems to be a question as to leave the recharge connected or disconnect when finished. Any discussions on which method is best ? Thanks.
Love the Roomba in concept, but I have found their products to be totally unreliable. I have had three different ones die, all of different causes, each in about a year’s time.
Additionally, the rechargeable batteries, which are quite expensive to replace, have a life-space of about a year.
Great concept, poor execution. Perhaps in a few years iRobot will be able to bring something more reliable to the marketplace. Until then, I’m back to traditional vacuums.
My first Roomba was a 530 from a Wooting. When it finally died on my (RIP “Roombie”), iRobot sold me a 500 as a replacement. I think it was $150 or so, and didn’t come with a battery or tower, since I just used those from the 530.
The 550 has scheduling. I didn’t think it would matter and just a “nice to have” but I really like it. I found that I started to forget to press the button to start the robot before I’d leave, from time to time. Do it enough time, and you then have to sweep (I have hardwoods). With the scheduling, I never forget. As Ronco would say… I set it and forget it.
I don’t know much about the 440 (maybe the same as a 530?), but that’s my Roomba experience! I guess no matter what version, they are great to have. I have a cat and a dog, and hardwood floors.
All Roomba’s have issues, but nothing a little maintenance can’t fix. I bought a Discovery model in June of 2006 and it’s still running strong!
Yes, it’s on it’s 4th battery, yes I’ve changed the wheels (including the motors), yes I’ve had to take it apart to clean it (actually quite easy), but the truth is we can’t live without one.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy any of them and for this price how could this deal go wrong?
yeah same, i have 4. 3 are dead last one is on life support.
I have a Roomba 530 that’s no good… does anyone know if I can using the docking station for the 530 with this model?
can anyone tell me whether it has a 110v and also a 220v for the battery recharger? i want it for europe where they use 220v only
